History isn’t just in the past—it’s living among us! In 1960, at just six years old, Ruby Bridges became the first Black student to integrate an all-white elementary school in the South. Under the protection of federal marshals, she courageously walked through crowds of angry protesters to attend William Frantz Elementary in New Orleans. Today, Ruby is still using her voice to advocate for equality and inspire future generations. Her story reminds us that the fight for justice is ongoing and that even the smallest among us can make a big impact!
